Other missions include, forcible entry alarms, backup RIT unit as well as supporting our high angle team with rescue rope, mechanical advantage equipment, EMS equipment including a backboard and stokes that can be secured to the platform for rescue use.

2000 Spartan/Saulsbury. Gladiator LFD cab. Recently painted and minor refurb to match fleet and NFPA 1901 color standards) Painted by Jerome Fire Equipment, Mr. Douglas Hornton.

Mission:
 Initial fire attack unit. Stand alone capability. Rotates as Western section 94. 2nd out on MVC's. This unit is also designed to be multi-functional and can suppliment any role required.


Features:
  • Five crosslays, (1) 2.5" TFT Blitzfire crosslay, (1) 300' 1.75" attack line, (1) 2"  200' attack line and (2)  200' 1.75" attack lines with foam capability. Crosslays are color coded minuteman loads.
  • 500 Gallon poly water tank. Hale single stage QMax- 2000gpm pump with Foam Pro system consisting of class "A" and "B" foam.
  • Deployed from the rear is a 300' 2.5" preconnected attack line and a 300' preconnected 2.5" water thief line.

  • 1200' Of  5"  LDH, set up for hydrant steamer valve connection. Chute designed to deploy hose from officers side.

  • 50 Foot "telesqurt" brand telescopic boom, 1000gpm tip with foam capability.

As with all of our units, engine 4 has the ability to handle almost any alarm in a stand alone mode until a full response is required. The unit was over a year in planning and is the result of our plan to downsize our fleet while improving efficientcy and service to our residents. We were able to purchase this unit with no tax increase and continue to operate on the same budget since 2004 with no increase.
